Despite dropping the second match of the series, the hosts have selected the same 13-man playing group for match three in Grenada, both in a bid to take a 2-1 series lead and with an eye to the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup in October.

After cruising to an eight-wicket win in the first match off the back of a 35-ball 71 from Evin Lewis, the West Indies fell 16 runs short in game two, as Kagiso Rabada (3/37) and George Linde (2/19) prevented another batting onslaught.

Looking to keep continuity throughout the white ball summer, Lead Selector Roger Harper wants to keep the same core group across the series, though explains opportunities will come for others on the periphery.

"With this series in the balance, we would like to give this squad another opportunity to display how well they can play together. We are aware that there are still a number of T20Is ahead so there will be opportunities for other players going forward.”

The series is part of a bumper 15-match T20I summer for the boys in the Caribbean, who will also host Australia and Pakistan for five matches each.

The West Indies are defending World Champions in the format, with five members of the winning 2016 squad featuring in the current series.
