It has seen the West Indies take a measured approach with a trio of their most important fast bowlers, with Seales, Shamar Joseph and Alzarri Joseph all to be managed over the coming months in preparation for the bevy of international fixtures.

Seales and Shamar Joseph have both been given permission to participate in certain periods of the West Indies Championship, while Alzarri Joseph will skip the domestic competition in the Caribbean as he plays in the ongoing Pakistan Super League.

West Indies Director of Cricket Miles Bascombe confirmed the decision to manage the trio was made to ensure the fitness of the players was preserved so they were at their peak during the international season.

“Our fast bowlers are among our most valuable assets, and this season demands the best of them across every format and every competition," Bascombe said.

"The plans we have put in place are deliberate — we are being proactive and precise so that Jayden, Shamar, and Alzarri are fit, available, and at their sharpest when it counts most."
