Wilson breaks into top 100, Devine claims top allrounder spot in ICC rankings
Wilson made the gains after starring for England with a pair of rearguard efforts during the tri-series, although they didn’t suffice to haul England to the final, as they lost out to eventual runners-up India on net run-rate. Wilson was one of two big gainers, alongside Indonesia’s Yulia Anggraeni, who rose 29 places to 64th position. Anggraeni had struck a 68-ball 112 against Philippines in her previous international outing.
Among the other big movers were Australia’s Ashleigh Gardner, who jumped 18 places into the top 20, after ravaging India with a 57-ball 93. England’s Amy Jones fell 10 spots out of the top 20, after a middling tri-series in which she made just 21 runs in four innings.

Although Suzie Bates, New Zealand’s No.3, retained her top spot, there were other movements in the top 10, with Bates’ team-mate and captain Sophie Devine rising four spots to No.2. Australia opener Beth Mooney and her Indian counterpart Smriti Mandhana both made upward movements, while Meg Lanning, despite dropping three position, hung on to the top five.
Among the bowlers, Ellyse Perry’s golden run with the ball gave her a jump of four places into the top 10, to No.7. Poonam Yadav dropped six places out of the top 10 to take the 12th position, while England fast bowler Anya Shrubsole tumbled six places to fall out of the top 20. Anuja Patil and Delissa Kimmince lost out big as well, falling 11 places to 31, and 14 places to 33 respectively.
Australia’s Sophie Molineux climbed nine places to claim 15th spot, while South Africa’s Ayabonga Khaka gained 17 places to rise to 36th position. But the big movements happened further down, with Tayla Vlaeminck jumping 57 places to 48, after claiming seven wickets in three tri-series games, while maintaining an economy rate of 5.25, and Ashleigh Gardner dropping 25 places to 56.
