Bangladesh and the Netherlands sealed their spots in the Super Six stage, while Ireland and Scotland registered crucial victories on Day 3 of the ICC T20 Women's World Cup 2026 Global Qualifier in Nepal.

Here is how all the action unfolded on Day 3:

Nepal fall agonisingly short against Netherlands

Scorecard

Hosts Nepal threw absolutely everything in their run chase against the Netherlands but fell short by the barest margins in the end.

At stages, the situation looked relatively comfortable for the Dutch, after posting a strong total of 140/5 led by captain Babette De Leede's 49 off 47.

The hosts were 93/7 in the 17th over and seemingly out of the fight, before Rubina Chhetry (37* off 32) and Sita Magar (27* off 12) had them daring to dream in the latter stages. The pair piled on an unbeaten 45 at the death to give their side a genuine shot in the final over.

But some clutch bowling from Heather Siegers helped seal a win for the Netherlands, who remain unbeaten from three Group B games, having now won back-to-back games by just single-digit runs.

The Dutch lead their group and can now start planning for the Super six stage of the event.

Ireland strokemakers overpower brave USA

Scorecard

Ireland are on track to progress past the group stage of the World Cup Qualifier after a second win from as many games in Group A.

They showed their batting depth against the United States, scoring 154/7 after winning the toss and electing to pad up first. Their star hitter Orla Prendergast was removed for a golden duck, but her team mates picked up the slack.

Openers Gaby Lewis (42 off 32) and Amy Hunter (18 off 13) got Ireland going, putting on a quickfire 27 for the first wicket, before Leah Paul's heavy-hitting 67 off 52 was the star attraction in innings one. Paul smashed eight boundaries, showing off some expansive strokeplay, helping steer her side into a position of strength at the change.

Despite a decent start to their run chase, piloted by Chetna Pagydyala's 22 off 25,USA lost consistent wickets through the middle overs and left too much for Ritu Singh (41 off 30) and Tara Norris (13 off 14) to conjure in the later overs. They would ultimately fall 16 runs short.

Bangladesh beat Namibia to seal Super Six birth

Bangladesh continued their unbeaten run with a comprehensive victory over Namibia, making it three wins on the trot and sealing their place in the Super Six stage of the tournament.

Scotland open account with win over Zimbabwe

Scorecard

Scotland registered their first win of the Qualifier with a solid victory over Zimbabwe, kickstarting their hopes of progressing to the Super Six stage.

A disciplined team bowling performance saw Scotland bundle Zimbabwe out for just 101. Modester Mupachikwa led the resistance with an unbeaten 30 off 40 balls, while Chiedza Dhururu contributed 22 off 20, but regular wickets prevented Zimbabwe from building any momentum.

Despite the modest total, Zimbabwe fought back strongly with the ball, led by Loreen Tshuma’s impressive three-wicket haul. However, Scotland kept their composure in the chase, reaching the target inside 14 overs with five wickets in hand.

Katherine Fraser starred with a fluent 44 off 30 balls, well supported by skipper Kathryn Bryce’s brisk 23 off 13. Megan McColl (12* off 9) and Priyanaz Chatterji (15* off 11) then saw Scotland home, securing their first points of the tournament.
