Women's cricket receives a boost in Australia

Cricket Australia has announced its interstate program for the 2010-11 season and the women's game has received a boost with the news that the women's domestic T20 final will again be broadcast live on television.

After a successful trial last season, the Women's Twenty20? final will again be broadcast on Fox Sports.

"Women's interstate cricket will again receive high exposure thanks to our FOX SPORTS agreement and the addition of a Tasmanian team to the WNCL is a great result for Australian cricket," said Cricket Australia CEO James Sutherland.

Tasmania joins the WNCL after successfully playing in the Women's Twenty20™ last season.

Following on from the success of the concept last season, six Women's Twenty20™ matches will be played as double-headers with the Big Bash, including the final which will be televised on Saturday 5 February.
