World Cup preparation in full swing as Sri Lanka name squads for India
Dasun Shanaka's side will play a total of six white-ball matches (three T20Is followed by three ODIS) against India at the start of next month and the series will form an integral part of Sri Lanka's preparation for the 50-over World Cup in the same country at the end of next year.
Shanaka was named captain of both squads, with opener Kusal Mendis his deputy for the ODI component of the tour and star all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga filling the role for the shorter format.
Dhananjaya Lakshan, Asitha Fernando and Dinesh Chandimal were the notable absentees from the squads, while all-rounder Chamika Karunaratne earns a recall on the back of some strong performances in domestic cricket.
