Abhishek Sharma's hold on the No.1 spot for T20I batters has loosened as Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan made further gains on the latest ICC Men's T20I Player Rankings.

Farhan became the first player to score a pair of centuries at the same ICC Men's T20 World Cup when he contributed a superb hundred against Sri Lanka in Pallekele and it helped the right-hander gain one place to move to second spot for T20I batters with a new career-high rating on the latest rankings update.

Sahibzada Farhan was the hero for Pakistan again as his 100 off 60 helped them overcome Sri Lanka at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026.

Abhishek now holds a 26-point advantage over Farhan at the top of the batter rankings, with the Pakistan opener overtaking England's Phil Salt and closing the gap on his India counterpart following a total of 383 runs at the T20 World Cup.

There's plenty of other movement on the latest rankings following the completion of the Super Eights phase of the T20 World Cup, with India duo Ishan Kishan (fourth) and Tilak Varma (sixth) both gaining a spot inside the top 10 for T20I batters, while South Africa dasher Dewald Brevis also gains once spot to move to eighth.

Zimbabwe run machine Brian Bennett is another eye-catcher as he gains six places to move to 11th overall on the back of his 292 runs at the tournament, while South Africa duo Ryan Rickelton (up two places to 13th) and Aiden Markram (up four slots to 16th) also make ground.

It's a similar story at the top of the rankings for T20I bowlers, with the lead for India spinner Varun Chakravarthy now down to just 18 rating points heading into the knockout stages of the T20 World Cup.

While Chakravarthy has 12 wickets for the tournament thus far and holds a slender advantage at the top of the rankings, it's Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed that closes in as he gains two places to move to third overall.

There is some joy for India with gains for Jasprit Bumrah (up one spot to seventh) and Arshdeep Singh (up six rungs to 13th), while England pacer Liam Dawson (up nine slots to equal 14th) and South Africa quick Lungi Ngidi (up six places to 20th) also make ground.

Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza maintains his lead at the top of the rankings for T20I all-rounders, with India star Hardik Pandya now his closest challenger after he gained one place to jump past Pakistan's Saim Ayub and claim second spot.

Another big mover on the list for T20I all-rounders was Jason Holder, with the West Indies veteran gaining eight places to move to 11th overall after a good T20 World Cup with bat and ball.
