Injury forces Australia to confirm U19 squad change
A replacement has been named in the Australia camp following an injury to one of their key players.
Australia have altered their squad after losing one of their players to injury in the ongoing ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup 2024.
Three-time champions Australia have lost hard-hitting middle-order batter Corey Wasley to a finger injury, with 17-year-old Victorian Ollie Peake named as his replacement in their 15-player squad.
Wasley has a fracture in his left index finger, with Peake flying out to South Africa and in contention to feature in Australia's next match at the tournament against Zimbabwe on Thursday.

Australia beat Nambia by six wickets in Kimberley.
Despite managing a decent haul of 236 runs during the Australian U19 Championships at the end of last year, Peake missed out on the original playing squad and was only named as a replacement player for the tournament.
The Event Technical Comittee is responsible for approving changes to the squad during the tournament. The committe for this World Cup consists of Wasim Khan (ICC General Manager – Cricket and Chair of the ETC), Wanele Mngomezulu (Host Tournament Director), Sarah Edgar (IBC Representative) and Samuel Badree (Independent Representative).
