South Africa provide update on Bavuma's availability ahead of the second Bangladesh Test
South Africa are leading the two-game WTC series 1-0 after their win in Dhaka.
South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma will miss the second test in the ongoing series against Bangladesh due to a lingering elbow injury.
Bavuma had also missed the first Test of the series when scans revealed a left tricep muscle strain.
Though the right-hander made significant progress with his recovery, it was deemed that he would not be ready for the second test, which starts on October 29 in Chattogram.
Aiden Markaram who led the side to a seven-wicket win in the first Test will continue to lead the Proteas in Bavuma’s absence.
