Ireland defeat Denmark by 145 runs, and are one win away from qualifying for the U19 World Cup in New Zealand. Scotland were aiming to finish the day ahead on net run rate, but were frustrated by a fighting display by the Jersey batters.

Jersey vs Scotland
Scotland started strong with the bat, with opener Syed Shah (46) starting the innings with quick runs. The Scottish middle order looked strong as Angus Hinton (60) and Finlay McCreath (53) recorded half centuries. The scoring rate dropped in the middle overs as Jersey put their spinners to work. Rory Johnston added 40 runs late in the innings, losing his wicket on the last ball. Julius Sumerauer (3/58) was the pick of the Jersey bowlers as Scotland reached 239/5.

Jersey avoided a collapse with the bat to reach their highest score in the tournament so far. Six of the Jersey batters got starts, each posting double figure scores. Harrisan Carlyon top scored with 34 runs. The Scots worked hard in the field and took some spectacular catches. The Jersey batters lost their last wicket in the 50th over with the score on 170. Scotland won by 69 runs keeping their hopes of qualifying for the world cup alive.

Ireland vs Denmark
The Irish were happy to lose the toss and bat, despite the early loss of opener Jamie Grassi (1). The second wicket partnership of 103 by Mark Donegan (59) and Morgan Topping (96) set the platform for a strong Irish total. Harry Tector (32) and Sean Murphy (43*) added to the total to get the Irish to 266/6 off their 50 overs.

Denmark looked strong in the chase, initially, with the top order getting good starts and putting the Danish ahead on DLS by the 21st over. The innings unravelled after the fall of the second wicket. Denmark putting on just another 38 runs for the last eight wickets. Graham Kennedy bowled a destructive spell of 9 overs, taking 7/13 to leave Denmark stranded on 124. Ireland win by 145 runs to edge ahead of the Scots on net run rate, setting up an exciting final encounter on Monday.
