Sri Lanka have announced a 22-member squad for the limited-overs series against South Africa in Colombo, starting 2 September that will see the return of Dinesh Chandimal after five months.
Chandimal last appeared for Sri Lanka in April when they faced West Indies for an all-format series where he scored two fifties. Dasun Shanaka will continue to captain the side alongside Dhananjaya De Silva who has been named as vice-captain.
Sri Lanka have also included three uncapped players for the white-ball series versus South Africa. Lahiru Madushanka, Mahesh Theekshana, and Pulina Tharanga are the three to receive their maiden call-ups.
The limited-overs series will kick off with three ODIs forming a part of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League followed by as many T20Is as a final build-up to their T20 World Cup assignment.
