3 out of 3 for the MCC

The third and final fixture of MCC's tour of Cyprus was played today at Happy Valley Ground in Espiskopi.

The visitors produced an emphatic 8-wicket victory over a Cyprus Combined Services XI making it 3 wins out of 3.

The scorecard would suggest that MCC player R Barlow could have taken the Cyprus side on single handedly, his figures of 5 wickets for just 19 runs and a score of 49 not out with bat, carrying his side to victory.

Earlier in the week the MCC team which includes ex-England captain Mike Gatting, beat the Cyprus National team and a Cyprus Island XI, and on Monday the MCC squad provided a coaching session for around 50 Cypriot children.
