Short tour in October and November will include a three-day warm-up fixture against Zimbabwe A.
Zimbabwe will host Windies in a two-match Test series later this month, Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed on Sunday.
The first Test is scheduled to begin on October 21, with the second one taking place from October 29. Both games will be played at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.
Windies, expected to arrive on October 11, will take on Zimbabwe A in a three-day practice match before the Tests. The Caribbean side is pretty match-fit, having just completed a long tour of the United Kingdom which involved three Tests, a solitary Twenty20 International and five One-Day Internationals against England, and one ODI against Ireland. The Ireland ODI and one of the five against England were washed out.
Windies won the lone T20I, but was outdone by England in the ODIs, with the home side clinching the series 4-0. The Test series had been keenly contested, with England prevailing 2-1 in a hard-fought contest that included a remarkable win for Windies in the second game at Headingley, Leeds with Shai Hope hitting centuries in both innings.
Meanwhile, Graeme Cremer's side is also a confident bunch. The team clinched the five-match ODI series 3-2 in Sri Lanka in July and lost a hard-fought Test by four wickets.
Zimbabwe will also be boosted by the returns of Brendon Taylor and Kyle Jarvis, who have both given up their English county deals to return to their home country.
This will be Windies' second tour to Zimbabwe in last 12 months. The team had travelled to the country in November last year to feature in a tri-series, which also included Sri Lanka.
