7 – Charlotte Edwards and Suzie Bates have won seven Player of the Match awards each at the ICC Women's World T20 – a record.
Edwards, the former England captain, is the leading run-scorer at the ICC Women's World T20, with 768 runs in 24 innings. She was adjudged the Player of the Tournament in the inaugural edition of the competition in 2009.
Bates, who opens the batting for the White Ferns, is currently the top-ranked player in the MRF Tyres ICC Women's T20I Rankings for batters.
She is currently the leading run-scorer in women's T20 International cricket with 2846 runs in 101 innings. The right-hander is a part of New Zealand's squad, which will travel to the Caribbean for the ICC Women's World T20 2018.
Both of them have won the match award seven times in the marquee event; even among men, no one has won it more than five times at the World T20.
