Bangladesh announce squad for second WTC27 Windies Test
Bangladesh are 1-0 down at home going into the second Test against the West Indies.
Bangladesh have been forced to make a change to their 15-member squad for the second Test in the World Test Championship series against West Indies.
Mominul Haque has been ruled out after sustaining a head injury while fielding in the first Test. He was replaced by concussion substitute Jaker Ali during the match and, in accordance with the ICC’s concussion guidelines, must observe a mandatory minimum seven-day stand-down period before returning to play.

Wicketkeeper-batter Amite Hasan has been named Mominul’s replacement for the upcoming match in Sylhet, starting 5 November.
Amite, who made his debut earlier this year in June against Zimbabwe, has played just one Test but boasts an impressive red-ball domestic record, aggregating 4040 runs in 54 matches at an average of 50.50.

Bangladesh’s defeat in the first Test saw them slip from fourth to fifth in the World Test Championship standings.
Despite securing a slender 27-run first-innings lead, the hosts were undone by Jomel Warrican, who claimed a match haul of nine wickets.
Chasing 170 for victory in the final innings, West Indies made light work of the target as openers Brandon King (81*) and John Campbell (49) put on a century stand to do most of the damage as the visitors won by eight wickets to take a 1-0 lead.
