Comprehensive wins for Guernsey, Jersey and Oman
Guernsey v Nigeria
Max Ellis (4 for 9) and Luke Nussbaumer (3 for 13) set up Guernsey's ten-wicket win over Nigeria in St Saviour in their World Cricket League Division 5 game. Joshua Ayannaike top-scored with 26 and was one of three batsmen to reach double figures after Nigeria won the toss and opted to bat.
But Nussbaumer, the medium paceman, had Ayannaike bowled at the end of the 13th over, and that opened the floodgates. Ellis, the left-arm spinner, then ran through the middle order as the side was bowled out for 99 in 34 overs. It was an excellent bowling effort, but the fielding was impressive as well, Thomas Kirk taking five catches.
The chase was straightforward with Matthew Stokes and GH Smit, the openers, unbeaten on 48 and 38 respectively as Guernsey overhauled the target in just 18.5 overs.

Jersey v Tanzania
With an unbeaten 103 off 88 balls and 2 for 33, Ben Stevens was at the forefront of Jersey's 85-run victory against Tanzania in St Clement. After electing to bat, Jersey began strongly with an 87-run opening stand between Peter Gough and Nat Watkins. Gough, the captain, fell for 47, but that brought Stevens to the crease and he took charge.
Stevens read the situation well, taking his time at the start before upping the ante. Stevens and Corey Bisson (21 not out) added 58 runs together in the last 5.2 overs to take Jersey to 273 for 5.
In response, Tanzania lost a wicket early on and found runs hard to come by. After a point – with wickets falling at regular intervals – the side tried another tack, looking to bat out the entire 50 overs. They managed to tick that box, but Jersey walked off the field the happier lot, restricting Tanzania to 188 for 8.

Oman v Vanuatu
Zeeshan Maqsood led Oman's chase of 205 in St Martin with an unbeaten 130 to a guide the side to a nine-wicket win with 9.2 overs to spare. The knock contained 17 fours and two sixes. Along the way, Maqsood was involved in two century stands with Khawar Ali (29) and Vaibhav Wategaonkar (35 not out).
Vanuatu opted to bat, but only Nalin Nipiko looked entirely comfortable, remaining not out on 93. Joshua Rasu (34) and Ronald Tari (35) got off to starts, but weren't able to convert it as only four batsmen in the innings reached double digits.
While Nipiko held up his end, wickets tumbled at the other. Five out of the six bowlers Oman used picked up a scalp, with Rajeshkumar Ranpura taking two and Maqsood snaring one as well, to keep Vanuatu to 204 for 7.
