Cricket Kenya names squad for Women T20 show in Tanzania
Cricket Kenya has announced the Twenty20 squad for the next week?s ICC/Africa Women Twenty20 Qualifiers in Tanzania. Three new players have been introduced to the side from the team that played in last year?s Africa Women Twenty20 held in Uganda.
15 year old Daisy Wairimu who was declared the player of the tournament in the just concluded Africa Junior Girls Championships in Uganda will be making her debut in the team of 14 players.
Other new faces in the team are Lydia Kaparo and Mary Belle. While Kaparo is making appearance in the team after touring Uganda in September, Belle is making a comeback after 15 months absence.

Manager Dun Okinyo was excited about the flair the new faces brought to the side and felt confident the players would thrive on the opportunity to represent Kenya.
"We believe the squad has a good blend of experience and young talented players who we are sure are ready for the challenges ahead," Okinyo said.
"Quinta, Kaparo and Daisy have shown a lot of promise and I hope they will be part of the future of our cricket. They deserve their chance to impress at a higher level.
Kenya will open their campaign against Namibia on day one of the event before taking on archrivals Uganda on the second day.
On the third day, Kenya will have a bruising battle when they play two matches against South Africa and Zimbabwe.
They will close their campaign with a match against hosts Tanzania.
