Cricket PNG announce T20 Legends Bash

The Pacific MMI Motor Vehicle's Insurance Limited,Don't Drink and Drive- Legend's Bash has been rescheduled for Wednesday 1st until Sunday 5th of December with the T20 Bash being played on the 4th and 5th of December 2010.

Due to the unavailability of some specific high profile Legend's (Andrew Symonds and Brad Hogg) the event has been moved from its scheduled date in October back to similar dates to the inaugural event in 2009.

Cricket PNG and Pacific MMI and Motor Vehicles Insurance Limited look forward to making an announcement on soon of the new line-up of Legend's for the December T20 Legends Bash.

Cricket PNG has settled on a new date because it will allow for a higher profile group of Legend's and a more successful and enjoyable event for cricket lovers and more effective advocacy of the Don't Drink and Drive message.

Last year's event won the Global Award for the Best Cricket Promotion and Marketing Programme at the 2009 Pepsi ICC Global Development Awards, but perhaps more importantly it helped to significantly raise the profile of the Don't Drink and Drive message throughout PNG.

Being able to attract internationally famous cricket heros to drive both the promotion of cricket and this important social message is something that Cricket PNG, Pacific MMI and Motor Vehicles Insurance Limited are enormously proud of.
