Inglis, Zampa to miss opening ODI against India
Australia wicket-keeper Josh Inglis has been ruled out with a calf injury while Adam Zampa will miss the match for family reasons.
Australia added wicket-keeper Josh Philippe and spinner Matthew Kuhnemann to their squad for the series opener against India on Sunday.
Philippe, who last played an ODI against the West Indies in 2021, is replacing Josh Inglis who is recovering from a calf strain that saw him miss Australia's tour of New Zealand.
Alex Carey is unavailable for the first ODI to play in South Australia's Sheffield Shield match against Queensland as preparation for the Ashes next month.
Carey will rejoin the squad ahead of the second ODI with a Cricket Australia spokesperson hopeful Inglis will be available for the third ODI in Sydney on October 25.
