Nepal enter semi-finals
Nepal stormed into the semi-finals of the ACC Under-19 Women's Championships with a 70-run win over hosts Singapore at Yorker on Thursday. Nepal opted to bat first and made 159 for two in 25 overs. In reply, Singapore were restricted to 89 for nine in 25 overs.
Kuwait beat Qatar by eight wickets at the Ceylon Sports Club in the other game. Qatar won the toss and opted to bat first. But Kuwait restricted Qatar to 116 for nine in their 25 overs. In reply, Kuwait overhauled the target in 20.2 overs. Thailand beat China by an impressive 81 runs at the Indian Association ground. Thailand opted to bat first and made 113 for four in 25 overs. China were shot out for 30 in just 9.5 overs in reply.
Bhutan scored another impressive win beating Oman by 49 runs at the Ceylon Sports Club. Bhutan made 95 for four in 25 overs after opting to bat first. The Bhutan bowlers then shot out Oman for 46 in 23.2 overs to continue the winning run. In the final league game of the day, UAE opted to bat and made 107 in 25 overs against Malaysia at Yorker. In reply, Malaysia were restricted to 71 for nine in their full quota of overs.
