New Zealand in focus

With the eleventh edition of the ICC Women’s World Cup just around the corner, we have decided to look at how all eight teams have fared at previous tournaments.

New Zealand have featured in all 11 Women’s World Cups and have won one. The Kiwis’ Debbie Hockley holds tournament records, including most runs (1501) and most appearances (45).

Ranked number three in world, New Zealand will be looking to claim their second trophy under the leadership of all-rounder Suzie Bates, who has 682 Women’s World Cup runs to her name as well as eight wickets.

New Zealand’s 15-player squad includes 16-year-old leg-spinner Amelia Kerr who is set to become New Zealand's youngest representative at the ICC Women's World Cup.

The team will assemble for a pre-tournament camp in Hampshire from June 11, before the opening game against Sri Lanka in Bristol on June 24.
