Sidra Ameen smashed 176* off 151 balls as she put on 221 runs for the opening wicket with Muneeba Ali, who also completed a century in the process.

Ameen's century, her third in ODIs, is the fifth-highest individual score in women's ODIs. Amelia Kerr's record 232 not out, also against Ireland, in 2018 remains the highest score in the format in women's cricket. Belinda Clark is the only other player to make a double hundred in women's ODIs.

Deepti Sharma (188) and Chamari Athapaththu (178*) follow the duo in the list. Ameen's entry is the first for Pakistan that has crossed the 150-run mark. Earlier, Javeria Khan's 133* against Sri Lanka in 2015 had been the highest score by a Pakistan player in women's ODIs.

Player Score Opposition Year
Amelia Kerr 232* Ireland 2018
Belinda Clark 229* Denmark 1997
Deepti Sharma 188 Ireland 2017
Chamari Athapaththu 178* Australia 2017
Sidra Ameen 176* Ireland 2022

The 221-run partnership between Ameen and Ali is the sixth-highest in women's ODIs for the opening wicket. Punam Raut and Deepti Sharma had put on 320 runs for the first wicket against Ireland in the match where Deepti made 188.

Overall, this is the eleventh stand of 200 or more for the first wicket in women's ODIs. Notably, this is Pakistan's first century stand for the opening wicket and the highest for any wicket, going past the 181-run stand between Bismah Maroof and Nida Dar.

Pakistan went on to seal a 128-run win over Ireland to go 1-0 up in the three-match ODI series.
