Shakthi and Army qualify for women’s Final
Shakthi were too strong for Nittabuwa Ladies, bowling them out for 108 in 19.4 overs and then knocking off the runs with 6.4 overs to spare.
Player-of-the-match Shiromi Athukorala top-scored with 54 not out as Shakthi won by nine wickets.
Air Force Ladies struggled to 95-9 in their 20 overs in the second semi-final on a day that saw large crowds throughout.
Player-of-the-match Ayesha Sandamali scored an unbeaten 45 to steer the Sri Lanka Army home by seven wickets with 17 balls to spare.
The final, which will be attended by chief guest Muttiah Muralidaran, will be played at the IODR Oval in Oddusuddan on Wednesday.
