Sri Lanka aim to avoid whitewash in third and final T20I against England
Overview:England vs Sri Lanka, third T20I
Hampshire Bowl, Southampton

Going into the last game of the series, Sri Lanka might be looking to make some changes to the batting lineup that has failed to live up to its billing in the first two matches. With nothing to lose, the visitors will be looking to gather some momentum heading into the three-match ODI series against the hosts.
England, on the other hand, have shown exactly why they are the top-ranked team in the MRF Tyres ICC Men's T20I Team Rankings with two convincing wins in the first two games. They too might be looking to test their bench strength in the dead rubber, with Moeen Ali, Liam Dawson, and Tom Curran all in line to play their first game of the series.
Remember the last time:
England registered a comfortable five-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the rain-affected second T20I. The visitors only managed to score 111/7 in their quota of 20 overs, with only Kusal Mendis (39), Kusal Perera (21), and Isuru Udana (19 not out) making sizeable contributions with the bat.
In response, England were reduced to 36/4 thanks to some fine Powerplay bowling by the Sri Lankan bowlers. Thankfully for the hosts, steady innings from Sam Billings (24) and Liam Livingstone (29 not out) and a quick cameo from Sam Curran (16 not out) helped England cross the line in a rain-interrupted second innings.

What they said
Liam Livingstone (England all-rounder): "It's (T20 skillset) something I've worked hard on for this sort of opportunity, to push my way into a team as someone that can offer something in all three facets of the game."
Kusal Perera (Sri Lanka captain): "Not ideal to be on the losing side, but our bowling was good. The concern is the batting. The conditions are not an excuse, and we need 140-150 to give our bowlers a chance."
