Taskin Ahmed, Farhad Reza recalled to Bangladesh ODI squad for Ireland tri-series

Taskin, who played his last ODI in October 2017, was initially not named in the squad, which was announced alongside the one for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2019, as he has been plagued by injuries in the recent past. Nayeem Hasan and Yasir Ali Rabbi had been named as stand-by players in the 17-man contingent.

Taskin also did not make the cut for the World Cup, which saw the surprise inclusion of uncapped right-arm pacer Abu Jayed.

Taskin, 25, has been recovering from an ankle injury, sustained during a Bangladesh Premier League game. The paceman was advised three-week rest, alongside a rehabilitation programme. He has since made a comeback and has also participated in the recently-concluded Dhaka Premier League.

Meanwhile, Reza, who last made an international appearance for Bangladesh in 2014, and hasn't played an ODI since December 2011, was the highest wicket-taker in the Dhaka Premier League, Bangladesh's premier List A tournament, where he picked up 38 wickets from 16 games.

Masrafe Mortaza, the regular captain, will lead the side in the tri-series, which starts on 5 May.
