Four teams competed in the inaugural ANZ Girls U19 national cricket tournament in Cook Islands. Teams included the Tumeke side from Nukutere College and club sides Muri, Matavera and The Peagles.

In the first game Muri started off with a bang against The Peagles and remained unbeaten throughout the tournament to win the inaugural title. The Peagles took second place, Matavera third and Tumeke coming in a respectable fourth.

The Peagles' spirited approach to the tournament was rewarded with the Fair Play award, while individual honours went to Annabelle Tuaati who collected both the highest individual score in a match and the highest individual total runs of the tournament awards. Tongakura Tonitara received the award for the best bowling figures in a match and Maggie Tuaputa received the award for the most tournament wickets by a player.
