Vanuatu Squad Announced for Pacific Games

Mark Stafford the President of Vanuatu Cricket Association, announced on Wednesday the final squad of the Digicel National Cricket Team and officials to take part in the upcoming XIV Pacific Games hosted by New Caledonia from 27 August - 10 September.

The players selected are:

Damian Smith
Lenica Natapei
Patrick Matautaava
Kenny Tari
Jelany Chilia
Niko Georges Unavalu
Eddie Mansale
Jaxies Samuel
Nalin Nipiko
Johnniel Willy Ateou
Samson Kalworai
Shem Sala

The four reserves who will not travel with the team, but may be called into the team should there be an injury are:

Steven Mark Lynch
Ronald Tari
Joshua Rasu
McDonald Fred Obed

The squad has been going through the ANZ Cricket High Performance Programme training for the last couple of months in preparation for the Pacific Games Cricket tournament.

The team of fifteen (15) shall travel with Patrick Haines (coach) and Pierre Chilia (team manager).

Vanuatu shall be competing against Papua New Guinea, Fiji and New Caledonia.
