Attendance record broken again at Women's T20 World Cup

The Australia-India clash at Lord's on Sunday has beaten Saturday's England vs New Zealand for the highest group-stage attendance in ICC Women’s T20 World Cup history.

The group stage attendance record at an ICC Women’s T20 World Cup group stage match has been broken for the second time in 24 hours, as fans packed into Lord's for Australia's match against India.

A total of 27163 fans filed into the Home of Cricket, streaking past the total of 21,018 in Saturday's match between England and New Zealand at The Oval.

The attendance on the last day builds on crossing the 125,000 mark in total during the group stage, making it the highest-selling ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

The ongoing tournament in England and Wales has reached out to more fans than ever, also a record for broadcast numbers and digital engagement.

The competition is headed to a grand finish with the semi-finals at The Oval on June 30 and July 2, before the final at Lord’s on July 5. 

England and the West Indies have sealed their semi-finals spots from Group B, with Sunday's action to determine which two teams progress from Group A.

Australia have confirmed their spot in the final four, with India needing a win against the Aussies to ensure their spot. South Africa need a favour of an Australian victory.
