Fresh off their triumph in the 50-over World Cup, India will be aiming to add more silverware at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026, starting 12 June.

India lift the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup trophy after beating South Africa in the final.

Harmanpreet Kaur, leading India for the fifth time at the tournament, will be eager to guide her side to the coveted title, having come close on several occasions before narrowly missing out.

The skipper will be supported in the batting lineup by key players in Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues and Richa Ghosh, while the bowling responsibilities will largely rest on the shoulders of Deepti Sharma and Renuka Singh.

This will be the maiden appearance for four players in the squad, Bharti Fulmali, Nandani Sharma, Shree Charani and Kranti Gaud will be getting their first taste of an ICC Women's T20 World Cup.

The same contingent will also be used for India's three-match T20I series against England, which will be their final preparation ahead of the T20 World Cup.

India will kick off their campaign on 14 June against Pakistan, where they are a part of Group A alongside Australia, Bangladesh, Netherlands and South Africa and will be looking to improve on their group stage exit from the 2024 edition.

Upon completion of their Women's T20 World Cup campaign, India and England have a One-off Test pencilled in for July 10-13 at Lord's. This will be the first Women's Test match at the iconic venue and will kick off exactly 50 years since Rachel Heyhoe Flint led out an England side on the same ground.
