India are looking at an injury setback early into their ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 campaign as Shreyanka Patil was carried off the field with a suspected ankle injury.

The star bowler seemed to have rolled her ankle while fielding in the fifth over during India's clash against Netherlands at Headingley on Wednesday.

Concern in the Indian camp as Shreyanka Patil leaves the field after an injury setback at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026.

She was seen clutching her right ankle in pain and was unable to put any weight on it. After receiving medical treatment on the field, her ankle was strapped and Patil was stretchered off the field.

It remains to be seen how serious the injury is and whether Patil will be back in action for India at the marquee event in England.
