England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt is battling a calf concern ahead of the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup.

Sciver-Brunt picked up the injury while playing for The Blaze against Warwickshire in England's domestic 50-over competition and has been withdrawn from the squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against New Zealand.

A decision will be made in due course surrounding Sciver-Brunt's availability for the three-match T20I series against New Zealand that commences on May 21, ahead of the T20 World Cup on home soil that starts on June 12.

The England captain hasn't played for her country since the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup in India last year, with the white-ball fixtures against the White Ferns and the following three-game series with India providing the skipper ample opportunity to prove her fitness prior to the T20 World Cup.
