Ireland announce schedule for big home assignments in 2026
Cricket Ireland have announced a whole host of fixtures across formats for both the men’s and women’s teams.
Ireland men’s and women’s sides have a packed home summer ahead, as Cricket Ireland announced a host of fixtures for both sides, marking a landmark year with several major assignments.
For the men’s side, a home summer with a historic Test match against New Zealand awaits. This will be followed by a high-profile series against India, the reigning ICC Men's T20 World Cup champions, with two matches scheduled for late June. In August, Ireland will host Afghanistan for a five-match ODI series.

Ireland will then travel to Nepal for a white-ball series as part of a new five-year strategic partnership. Their away commitments also include a tour of the United Arab Emirates, followed by a historic multi-format tour of Pakistan in early 2027 — their first-ever tour to the country.
Meanwhile, the women’s team will gear up for the fourth edition of the ICC Women's Championship. As part of the cycle, Ireland will host India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and West Indies, while touring England, Australia, Zimbabwe, and Sri Lanka.
The schedule kickstarts with a home series against West Indies in July, followed by away tours to England in September and Zimbabwe in early 2027.
Ireland are also set to feature in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 in England and Wales this summer.
In preparation for the marquee event, they will host a tri-series featuring West Indies and Pakistan in May.
