Pakistan batter Gull Feroza has been issued an official reprimand and handed one demerit point after being found guilty of a Level 1 breach of the ICC Code of Conduct during the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 Group A match against Australia on Tuesday.

Feroza was found to have violated Article 2.2 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which covers the abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during an international match.

The incident took place in the second over of Pakistan's innings, when Feroza threw her bat and gloves in an aggressive manner near the team dugout after being dismissed.

As it was her first offence within a 24-month period, one demerit point has been added to her disciplinary record.

Feroza admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by match referee Michell Pereira of the Emirates ICC International Panel of Match Referees, meaning no formal hearing was required.

The charge was levelled by on-field umpires Sue Redfern and Vrinda Rathi, third umpire Jacquline Williams and fourth umpire Shathira Jakir Jesy.

Level 1 breaches carry a minimum penalty of an official reprimand, a maximum penalty of 50 per cent of a player's match fee, and one or two demerit points.

Pakistan faced a heavy 113-run defeat at the hands of Australia as they remain winless at the Women's T20 World Cup 2026.
