Sri Lanka are hanging on to hope as they face Scotland in their final group game of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 in Manchester on Friday.
Currently placed fourth in Group B, the Lankans still have a mathematical chance to make it through to the semi-finals, but have to win the match against Scotland to keep their hopes alive.
Though Scotland is out of semi-final contention, they are hoping to finish their campaign on a high.

Steady start
It has been a watchful start from the Scottish. Opener Darcey Carter has helped Scotland to 45/1 in powerplay.
Pacer Mithali Ayodhya struck with the wicket of Katherine Fraser in the fifth wicket. A Fraser mis-hit lifted the ball towards mid-off and Nilakshika Silva completed a diving catch to help Sri Lanka with the breakthrough.
