It was their seventh T20I world title, adding to a stellar tally of seven ODI World Cups.

While Australia finished the tournament unbeaten, England had also enjoyed a flawless run to the finals, giving the home crowd lots to cheer about. With the number of teams expanding to 12, there were standout individual performers from other teams in three weeks of intense action.

Australia produced a flawless performance to beat England by 7 wickets and win the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge (England)

7 matches, 302 runs, 60.40 batting average, 149.50 strike rate

It was first day, first show as Danni Wyatt-Hodge notched an unbeaten century in the tournament opener against Sri Lanka.

Having welcomed her daughter Daisy into the world only a few weeks prior, the opener used it as an inspiration to spur England to 219/1, the highest team total in Women's T20 World Cups that was later equalled by Australia, and set up an 87-run win.

Wyatt-Hodge added two more half-centuries during the marquee event to become the first batter to score 300+ runs in a single edition and finished as the top run-scorer at the 2026 World Cup.

Beth Mooney (Australia, wicket-keeper)

7 matches, 238 runs, 47.60 batting average, 142.51 strike rate, 5 catches

Beth Mooney was once again at her finest in clutch matches as Australia raced to their seventh title.

She scored half-centuries in both the knockout matches, following up an unbeaten 61 against the West Indies in the semi-finals with a match-winning 64 against England at the Lord's Cricket Ground on Sunday.

It was Mooney's third half-century in a T20 World Cup title-decider, having scored fifties in Australia's winning efforts in 2020 and 2023 as well.

The 32-year-old was named the Aramco Player of the Match as well as the Aramco Player of the Tournament for her effort with the bat. Mooney was also a sturdy presence for her team behind the wickets.

Nat Sciver-Brunt (England)

4 matches, 227 runs, 113.50 batting average, 142.76 strike rate

Nat Sciver-Brunt carried the batting unit in the semi-finals as well as the finals.

Laid low by a calf injury earlier in the tournament, the England captain returned for the knockouts and made an instant impact. Her knock of 75 against in the semi-finals, helped England recover from a precarious 23/3 and register a formidable total of 169/5, which South Africa could not overhaul.

Sciver-Brunt rallied in the final too with an unbeaten 58. An 80-run partnership with Freya Kemp gave England a fighting chance as they put on 150/4. Though they fell short against an all-conquering Australian side, Sciver-Brunt had proved her big-match credentials yet again.

Ellyse Perry (Australia)

7 matches,  198 runs, 49.50 batting average, 132.88 strike rate, 4 wickets, bowling average 7.50

Ellyse Perry remains one of the most formidable all-rounders in the game and she contributed with the bat and the ball at crucial junctures during the tournament.

The 35-year-old guided her team to safety in the tricky group-stage contest against India. After India had posted a hefty 170/4, Australia were in a spot of bother at 68/3. But the experienced Perry took on the challenge, hitting an unbeaten 56 off 38 balls to carry her team to victory.

With the ball, Perry's finest effort came against Pakistan, claiming 2/9 as Australia dismissed the Asian side for 86 to win by 113 runs. The 2026 triumph was Perry's eighth world title in all formats.

Orla Prendagast (Ireland)

5 matches, 181 runs, batting average 36.20, strike-rate 125.69, 6 wickets, bowling average 20.33

Need a fast bowler to find a breakthrough? Orla Predagast is your player. Need a batter to strike cleanly in clutch moments? Look no further than the 24-year-old from Ireland.

She did it all for her team. She opened the bowling, she came in to bat at No.4 and later at No.3. And she did it all to great effect.

She was the player of the match as Ireland, in their 22nd T20 World Cup game, earned their first-ever win. That came against former champions West Indies, with Prendagast scoring 63 with the bat and 1/29 with the ball.

She also had an impressive show in the close-game against defending champions New Zealand, with a well-made 59 and 2/26.

Nilakshika Silva (Sri Lanka)

5 matches, 148 runs, batting average 74, strike-rate 121.31, 1 wicket

Though Sri Lanka did not make past the group stage, they put on some exceptional performances to finish third in Group B. The Lankans caused one of the biggest upsets of the tournament, as they defeated defending champions New Zealand by five wickets.

Chasing a target of 151, Nilakshika Silva led Sri Lanka's rebuild from 55/4. Silva's unbeaten 54, with the help of five fours and a six, helped her team across the finish line in the final over.

She also played cameos against England (39), West Indies (30) and Scotland (21 not out) to provide steel in the middle order.

Marizanne Kapp (South Africa)

6 matches, 124 runs, batting average 31, strike-rate 142.52, 8 wickets, bowling average 14.37

Is there a fiercer sight in women's cricket than Marizanne Kapp running in with the new ball?

The pace bowler spearheaded South Africa's potent bowling attack to take the team to the semi-finals. Kapp claimed wickets off her very first delivery against Pakistan and against Bangladesh, and in her first over against Australia.

While her best figures with the ball was 3/23 against Pakistan, it was her unbeaten 81 with the bat against India that was decisive in the race to the knockouts. Along with Tazmin Brits, she rescued South Africa from 2/25 to help them to a six-wicket win.

In a stacked Group A, that final-over win took the 2024 finalists to the semi-final while India were left out.

Ash Gardner (Australia)

6 matches, 150 runs, batting average 50, strike-rate 170.45, 3 wickets, bowling average 40.33

The seasoned campaigner was Australia's impact player during the tournament, turning the match on its head when her team needed it the most.

A powerful striker of the ball, Gardner, in the company of Perry, snatched the game away from India as she answered fire with fire. She struck three fours and three sixes en route an unbeaten 53 as Australia overcame a tough start to cruise to victory with an over to spare.

Apart from that, she registered a half-century against the Netherlands and a superb finishing effort (35 not out) against the West Indies.

In the semi-final against, she had also chipped in with 2/13, dismissing big hitters Stafanie Taylor and Jahzara Claxton in one over, and was named the Player of the Match.

Fatima Sana (Pakistan)

5 matches, 85 runs, 11 wickets, bowling average 11.27, BBI 3/12

Fatima Sana was the beating heart of a battling Pakistan team.

She single-handedly kept the team in the contest against South Africa, as Pakistan recovered from a shambolic 50/8 to put up a score of 126/9 on the board.

Sana scored 55 not out, with the help of six fours and two sixes, and followed it up with a bowling effort of 3/16 as the Proteas stumbled to a two-wicket win.

An effective batter, Sana spearheaded Pakistan bowling attack and took at least a wicket in each of the five group matches. Her 3/12 set up Pakistan's 37-run win over the Netherlands, ending their flawed campaign on a high.

Sophie Molineux (Australia, captain)

7 matches, 11 wickets, 14.72 bowling average, 6.75 economy, BBI 2/6

Sophie Molineux joined Alex Blackwell, Jodie Fields and Meg Lanning in the list of Australian captains to have led their country to a Women's T20 World Cup triumph.

Economical and efficient with her left arm orthodox spin bowling, she picked up 11 wickets at an average of 14.72, as she marshalled Australia to seven wins in as many matches as the team marched on to a seventh title, months after Molineux had taken over the captaincy.

Sree Charani (India)

5 matches, 14 wickets, 8.35 bowling average, 5.85 economy, BBI 4/19

The 21-year-old from Andhra Pradesh was impressive in her T20 World Cup debut, but that is expected from the world No.1 bowler in the ICC's T20 standings.

Picking up 14 wickets, she was the tournament's highest wicket-taker and beat Poonam Yadav's record of 10 wickets in the 2020 edition for the most scalps by an Indian at a T20 World Cup.

She picked up 4/19 in the game against Netherlands, three wickets each against South Africa and Pakistan and added two each against Bangladesh and Australia.

Darcey Carter (12th player, Scotland)

5 matches, 208 runs, 52.00 batting average, 111.82 strike rate

Scotland's stylish opener Darcey Carter was at times the lone-wolf in her team's batting lineup.

A stunning and unbeaten 72 against New Zealand took them to a competitive total of 131/7 despite not getting much support from the other end.

There was also a well struck 59 against the West Indies that set the tone for what looked certain to be a memorable win for Scotland, only for the wheels to fall off right at the end. With 208 runs at the tournament however, she was the fifth highest run-scorer.
