England’s disastrous tour of Australia came to an end after being beaten by 84 runs to have Australia complete a clean sweep of the three-match Twenty20 International series on Sunday (February 2).

After winning the toss, Australia scored 195-6 owing to Man of the Match George Bailey's knock of 49 off 20 balls. Australia then bowled England out for 111 in the 18th over to complete a whitewash. With that loss, England's 103-day tour of Australia came to an end, in which it lost the Ashes Tests 5-0 and also the One-Day International series 4-1. It also meant that Australia won 12 of the 13 matches across all three formats.

The tour also saw the international careers of spinner Graeme Swann, and coach Andy Flower come to an end. Furthermore, Kevin Pietersen, Matt Prior and Jonathan Trott's careers are under threat, along with Alastair Cook’s Test captaincy.

Eoin Morgan was the pick of the England batsmen scoring 34 off 20 balls as Australia's bowlers shared wickets evenly. Nathan Coulter-Nile, Glenn Maxwell and James Muirhead claimed two wickets apiece.

Earlier in the game, Bailey picked up 26 runs in the last over off Jade Dernbach to power Australia to its imposing total. He hit 4-6-6-4-4-2 in the last over of the innings to take Australia's innings tally of sixes to 13 sixes. Bailey shared an unbroken 56-run stand for the seventh wicket with Matthew Wade in just four overs.

Opener Cameron White built on his run tally for the T20 series with a 37-ball 41, while Ben Cutting, promoted to No.4 in the batting order, scored a quick-fire 29 off 16 balls. Veteran Brad Hodge, batting in his first T20I in six years, scored seven.

Stuart Broad was the pick of the English bowlers with 3 for 30.
