Pakistan opener Ahmed Shehzad jumped 41 places to a career-best 18th in the latest Reliance ICC Player Rankings for T20Is.

The rankings were released on Sunday, a day after Pakistan beat Zimbabwe in the second T20I by 19 runs in Harare to win the two-match series 2-0.

Shehzad was the highest run-getter of the series from either side with 168 runs, and was named player of the series for his effort. His unbeaten knock of 98 in the second match is also the highest individual score by a Pakistan batsman to date in Twenty20 Internationals.

The only other change in the top 20 of the Reliance ICC Player Rankings for T20I Batsmen was Zimbabwe’s Hamilton Masakadza, who moved up two places to 12th.

Outside the top 20, other batsmen to move in the right direction were Zimbabwe captain Brendan Taylor in 33rd (up by two) and Elton Chigumbura in 47th (up by 10).

The batting table is still headed by New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum, followed by England’s Alex Hales in second place and Australia all-rounder Shane Watson in third spot.

Meanwhile, Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez has moved up a place to a career-best third in the Reliance ICC Player Rankings for T20I Bowlers, with a best-ever 689 ratings points.

Also moving up in the bowling list is Zimbabwe's Prosper Utseya, who is now at a best-ever seventh with a career-high of 667 ratings points after jumping two spots.

Shahid Afridi has re-entered the top 10 after moving up one position to 10th place, becoming the third Pakistan bowler in the top 10.

Outside the top 20, Sohail Tanvir moved up a place to 30th.

The bowlers’ table is still headed by West Indies’ Sunil Narine, with Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal in second place.

Pakistan gains one ratings point

Second-ranked Pakistan’s 2-0 series win over host Zimbabwe has helped it gain one ratings points to finish at 125 on the Reliance ICC T20I Rankings Table

Pakistan, which started the series in second place with 124 ratings points, has now reduced the gap with number-one ranked Sri Lanka to three ratings points.

On the other hand, 12th placed Zimbabwe lost two ratings points following the series loss.
