Chinelle Henry “plucks” one out of the air
The second game of the tournament saw Henry pull a blinder off her own bowling. England’s Sophia Dunkley whacked one down the ground with ferocious force but Henry plucked out her right hand to take a brilliant catch.
Eden Carson’s “absolutely brilliant” diving catch
New Zealand’s Carson took a sharp catch at point to dismiss Australia opener Beth Mooney for a duck. Mooney threw her arms at a Lea Tahuhu delivery that swerved away from her but wasn’t able to beat Carson, who dived right to complete a stunning take.
Sidra Amin’s ripping catch to dismiss Shafali Verma
Verma went downtown with the intent of depositing a Nashra Sandhu delivery into the stands. However, Amin positioned herself well at long-off and executed a brilliant take while keeping herself within the boundary line.
Smriti Mandhana's lovely catch at short third
West Indies batter Shemaine Campbelle pulled out a reverse sweep off Deepti Sharma and sought to beat India's inner circle. However, Mandhana was sharp at short third man and dived forward to take a clean catch. The ball dipped as it approached Mandhana, but the fielder kept her eyes on the ball to complete a very good catch.
Grace Harris' blinder
Harris helped Australia see the back of the dangerous Chamari Athapaththu with a stunner. Athapaththu's effort to hit a boundary down the track was intercepted by Harris who leapt to her right at mid-on and completed an excellent catch.
