Haidee Tiffen to sit out of Australia series
High performance coach Bob Carter will fill in for Tiffen, whose decision comes in the wake of a New Zealand Cricket review of the ICC Women's World T20 2018 in the Caribbean, where New Zealand failed to advance beyond the group stage.
In the tournament, they were beaten quite comfortably by both India and Australia – the two teams who eventually progressed into the semi-finals from that group.

"I just want to do what's best for the team," Tiffen said. "The review was fairly confronting and challenging, and I can't really imagine being in the right frame of mind to help this side during the upcoming series.
"I love the players, I love the team and I love the job. But for everyone's sake, I think this is the best course of action at the moment."
Bryan Stronach, the head of high performance, said that NZC supported Tiffen in her decision and would continue to stand by her. "The high performance environment is an extremely challenging one, and the most important thing we can do right now is make sure we support Haidee," he said.
"We totally respect her position and will work through this with her."
As per the board’s review, all coaching and support staff roles are to be advertised at the completion of their respective tenures. Stronach said that Tiffen will remain under contract until its expiry on 31 July, and has been encouraged to reapply for the position.
