Having won the toss and electing to bowl, India delivered a clinical performance with the ball to restrict Bangladesh to 119/9 in 27 overs. The standout performer was Radha Yadav, who made an immediate impact in her first match of the tournament, notching three wickets.

Closing with figures of 3/30, Radha led the way and was accompanied among the wickets by Sree Charani (2/23) and Deepti Sharma, Renuka Thakur, Amanjot Kaur, who chipped in with a wicket each.

While Renuka Singh Thakur and Deepti Sharma struck in the powerplay, it was Radha Yadav's stunning dismissal of Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana Joty that got India going in the field.

The hosts ran through the middle and lower order, reducing Bangladesh from 91/3 to 117/9 in no time with Radha inflicting major damage with the ball. India were also dealt with an injury scare as opener Pratika Rawal was forced off the field owing to an injury.

Chasing 169, England effortlessly got across the line, courtesy of opener Amy Jones (86*), who anchored the innings with a composed knock well supported by Tammy Beaumont (40) and Heather Knight (33).

England openers Jones and Beaumont provided the team with a solid start, stitching together a 75-run partnership for the opening stand to keep the pressure on New Zealand's bowlers before Leah Tahuhu struck with the wicket of Beaumont.

Despite the dismissal, England kept the momentum in their favour as Knight added another 83 runs with Jones for the second wicket, all but sealing the win.

For New Zealand, Leah Tahuhu and Sophie Devine - playing her final ODI - picked up a wicket each.

Earlier, England spinners would leave the White Ferns in a tizzy. Linsey Smith (3/30) ended as the top performer with the ball.

She was well supported by Alice Capsey (2/31), Charlie Dean (1/21) and Sophie Ecclestone (1/4), who together choked the scoring rate and ran through the middle order. In total, England’s spinners took seven of the nine wickets while captain Nat Sciver-Brunt (2/34) also contributed with a brace.

For much of the first half, it looked like New Zealand were in control with the bat. After recovering from the early loss of Suzie Bates, Georgia Plimmer and Amelia Kerr steadied the innings with a solid 68-run stand for the second wicket, taking their side to 89/1 and laying the platform for a competitive total.

However, the game completely changed once that partnership was broken. New Zealand's innings collapsed dramatically as they lost nine wickets for just 79 runs - their lowest total at this tournament.

The game saw New Zealand captain Sophie Devine call time to a glorious ODI career for the White Ferns.
