PNG Launch 2012 BSP Kriket
Cricket PNG will be holding a National Conference at its Amini Park headquarters over the next 2 days as it prepares to launch the 2012 BSP National School Kriket Program.
The National Conference, which brings together all Regional Cricket Managers from 10 provinces, commences on Thursday with key note opening addresses by Cricket PNG Chairman, Mick Nades and BSP CEO, Ian Clyne.
The BSP School Kriket program was awarded the best Junior Development Program in the globe by the International Cricket Council in 2011 and on Tuesday was awarded the best of its kind in the East Asia Pacific region for the last 12 months for the 3rd year running.
The program was delivered to 116,000 school children in 2011, more than doubling the 2010 figure. Cricket PNG is aiming for a further increase in participants in 2012.
The BSP School Kriket Program will be officially launched in the NCD with a ceremony at the Ela Murray International School on Thursday the 9th of February.
Ian Clyne will again address the launch and pledge BSP's unwavering support for 2012.
Cricket PNG General Manager Greg Campbell will then officially kick off the first clinic with Ian Clyne to deliver the first ball.
