Proposals for event management of ICC CWC 2011 opening ceremony requested

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced it is seeking proposals from qualified companies interested in the event management of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 opening ceremony which will be staged at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on 17 February 2011.

The successful company or companies will be granted the responsibilities to organise and manage the delivery of the opening ceremony of what is the third biggest sporting event in the world.

This will include the development of the creative content and production of the ceremony showcasing the sporting achievements, culture and people of the host nations as well as implementing all production and stage management and management of the accredited media attending the opening ceremony.

A proven track record in opening ceremony production and event management is essential along with sufficient resources and experience to provide all the necessary services within the prescribed timeframes including state-of-the-art information technology infrastructure as well as adequately trained personnel.
