Overview Bangladesh v England
Match 7
Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia

England, who won the inaugural edition of the tournament in 2009, will want to get a win under their belt after the disappointment of the washout against Sri Lanka.

BAN v ENG: 'England have players who can bat and bowl equally well' – Anju Jain, Bangladesh coach

They are No.3 on the MRF Tyres ICC Women's T20 Team Rankings and the reigning champions of the 50-over World Cup. Their strong batting line-up is headlined by the likes of Danielle Wyatt, Tammy Beaumont and skipper Heather Knight. Their bowling, spearheaded by pacer Anya Shrubsole, is equally potent. Left-arm spinner Sophie Ecclestone, who has an average of 19.78 in T20Is, will also be an integral player for England in Caribbean conditions.

Natalie Sciver, who is No.10 on the bowlers' rankings and is a more-than-handy bat, brings the X-factor to their team.

WT20 feature: Tammy Beaumont

While Bangladesh were bundled for a total of 46 in their opener against the Windies, they did turn up with the ball before that to restrict the defending champions to just 106/8. Seamer Jahanara Alam, in particular, impressed with 3/23 in four overs.

The right-arm pacer was supported well by leg-spinner Rumana Ahmed, who claimed a couple of wickets in the game. Off-spinner Khadija tul Kubra also stepped up with returns of 1/19.

If they manage to hold their nerves with the bat, they can go hope for good things from the game, even if England look the stronger side on paper.

ENG v BAN: 'We know what threat Bangladesh possess' – Lauren Winfield

Key players

**Rumana Ahmed (Bangladesh):**Ahmed, who has claimed 26 wickets in just 20 games this year, will be the key to Bangladesh's plans against England. Her leg-spin has helped Bangladesh script quite a few successes this year, and there's no reason why she can't deliver again.

**Danielle Wyatt (England):**Wyatt, who scored a 54 against India in the warm-up game, will come into this fixture with a lot of confidence. The right-hander has accumulated 337 runs 10 innings in 2018 and is England's second-highest run-scorer this year.

Conditions

The forecast predicts showers throughout the day, which means that even if there is enough time for a game, DLS could have a role in the script.
