Wade to replace injured Lynn in Australia A one-day squad

The Cricket Australia National Selection Panel (NSP) has today advised that Victorian Matthew Wade will replace the injured Chris Lynn in the Australia A one-day squad for the VB Tour to Zimbabwe.

On Lynn's injury, Cricket Australia Physiotherapist Kevin Sims said: "Chris has had on-going concerns with a finger injury which will require surgery later this week. He will require a period of rehabilitation of 2-3 months which will make him unavailable for the Australia A tour to Zimbabwe."

On Wade's addition to the squad, NSP Chairman Andrew Hilditch said: "The unfortunate injury to Chris Lynn has given rise to the opportunity for Matthew Wade, the Victorian wicket-keeper and batsman, to be added to the Australia A squad for the one-day section of the tour of Zimbabwe. Matthew is a dynamic batsman who had an excellent season last year scoring 489 runs in the Ryobi Cup and we are sure he will impress at international level."

The NSP also today advised that Tasmanian quick Ben Hilfenhaus will only travel for the longer format games of the tour.
