Sciver-Brunt provides injury update as England fall to India
Nat Sciver-Brunt is confident she will be fit for England's opening match at the T20 World Cup.
England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt has declared she is on track to be fit for the start of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup on June 12.
Sciver-Brunt hasn't played at any level since she hurt her calf during a match for The Blaze in England's domestic 50-over competition at the end of April and the inspirational skipper is racing the clock to be fit for the T20 World Cup tournament opener against Sri Lanka in Birmingham in a fortnight's time.

But despite the fact she is yet to return to bowling at training, Sciver-Brunt has allayed any fears she will miss the start of the 20-over showcase by indicating her comeback remains on target and she expects to feature against Sri Lanka.
"Now is the time to start pushing on," Sciver-Brunt told the Stumped podcast.
"Everything is sort of going to plan as far as it can do at the moment.
"It's been really frustrating watching from the sidelines and not being able to help and feel like I'm missing out a little bit."

Sciver-Brunt was an interested onlooker on Thursday as England lost their T20I series opener against India in Chelmsford by 38 runs, with the two teams meeting on two more occasions across the next week in preparation for the T20 World Cup.
While Sciver-Brunt has already been ruled out of the remainder of the India series, the star all-rounder may get the chance to prove her fitness in the warm-up fixtures for the T20 World Cup should team management decide.

However England will take no risks with Sciver-Brunt, with the tournament opener on June 12 the main aim for their captain.
"All of the plans that we've been putting together to get me back on track is ending with that first game in mind," Sciver-Brunt said.
"We've got a couple of warm-up games beforehand to practise my skills in as well.
"It's going to plan thus far."
