Scotland and USA confirmed their place in the Super Six with crucial wins in Nepal.

Scotland knocked hosts Nepal out of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 Global Qualifier with a dominant win on Monday. Meanwhile, USA secured a Super Six berth for the first time in their history.

Elsewhere, Netherlands and Ireland strengthened their positions in their respective groups ahead of the Super Six with clinical wins.

Nepal's Women's T20 World Cup dreams were dealt a decisive blow as Scotland kept their hopes alive for a berth at the marquee tournament later this year.

Scotland's depth was on full display, being sent in to bat first and being put under the pressure early. With three wickets down at the score of 17, Scotland needed their middle order to mount a comeback, which was led by Priyanaz Chatterji (45* off 28). The knock helped anchor Scotland to 140.

The total proved to be more than enough as Nepal top-order faltered, followed by captain Indu Barma retiring hurt, being stretchered off in a concerning stop to the play. Only three players were able to make it into double digits, as Nepal finished 72 runs shy of their target.

Scotland will join the Netherlands and Thailand as Group B's Super six qualifiers.

USA seize historic win over Papua New Guinea

The United States sealed a maiden Super six berth at the Women's T20 World Cup Qualifiers. They sealed qualification with a five-wicket home, chasing down Papua New Guinea's 110/5 with two overs to spare.

While Konio Oala made an important contibution with the bat (41 off 40), Lekha Shetty's 3/27 set up the foundation for a comfortable USA win.

Openers Gargi Bhogle (35 off 39) and Chetna Pagydyala (32 off 34) took the attack to the opposition. Ritu Singh' late cameo saw through a result in her team's favour.

The United States will join Ireland and Bangladesh as Super Six qualifiers from Group A.

Netherlands edge Thailand in low-scoring affair

Netherlands topped Group B with a 17-run win over Thailand. Having been put in to bat first, the Dutch were rocked early after losing Phebe Molkenboer and Heather Siegers inside the first four overs.

Skipper Babette de Leede then took charge of the innings. Her run-a-ball 47 helped the Dutch cross the 100-run mark and finish at 107/8 in their 20 overs.

Sunida Chaturongrattana was the pick of the bowlers for Thailand as she picked up three wickets while Phannita Maya bagged a brace.

Iris Zwilling got Netherlands firmly back in the contest, picking up two Thai wickets in the very first over. However, Natthakan Chantham (26) and captain Naruemol Chaiwai (33) blew life back into the Thai innings with gritty knocks.

Isabel Van De Woning came into the attack for the Dutch and ran through the Thai middle order to fracture their chase. Her four-wicket haul put Netherlands firmly in control of the game.

Despite the defeat, Thailand have managed to qualify for the Super Six in third spot from Group B behind Netherlands and Scotland. The Dutch will take on USA in their first Super Six match on Wednesday after Thailand face Bangladesh earlier in the day.

Ireland cruise to win over Namibia

Ireland finished second in Group A after a seven-wicket win over Namibia in their final group game on Monday.

Namibia elected to bat first after winning the toss but were dealt early blows, losing both their openers, Jurriene Diergaardt and Yasmeen Khan without contributions on the scoreboard.

Kayleen Green, Merczerly Gorases and Wilka Mwatile rebuild the innings with useful knocks in the middle order but Jane Maguire and Lara McBride didn't allow any partnership to blossom for too long as they crippled the Namibian innings restricting them for 107/8 in their 20 overs.

Ireland faced little resistance with the bat. Led by captain Gaby Lewis (33), Orla Predergast (39) and Leah Paul (27*), the Irish chased down the total inside 15 overs to claim a morale-boosting win ahead of the Super Six.

Ireland will take on Scotland in their first Super Six match on Wednesday.
