Zimbabwe reveal Women’s T20WC Africa Qualifier 2025 squad
Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano will lead the 14-member lineup for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup Africa Division 1 Qualifier in Namibia.
Zimbabwe have unveiled a 14-member squad for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Africa Qualfier 2025.
The Qualfier will be staged in Namibia between August 31 to September 6, with Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda participating in the event along with Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe have been slotted in Group A along with hosts Namibia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone, while Group B consists of Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya and Rwanda.
Two of these sides will qualify for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier next year. Meanwhile, four out of the 10 sides featuring in that qualifier will make it to the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026.
While veteran batter Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano leads the side, it features a mix of seasoned campaigners and emerging talents.

Zimbabwe kick off their campaign against Namibia on 31st August.
Head Coach Walter Chawaguta shared the importance of each and every contest in the race to seal a ticket to next year's ICC Women's T20 World Cup in England.
“This tournament is of huge significance because it is our gateway to the Global Qualifier, which in turn gives us a chance to play at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026,” he said.
“Every game counts and we know what is at stake.”
The Women's T20 World Cup 2026 will commence on June 12, with the final to be hosted at Lord's on July 5.
