At Edgbaston, we understand the importance of sustainable practices and ensure they are at the centre of everything we do while continuing to support our planet, our people and our community through our Edgbaston 4 sustainability campaign.

We aspire to be leaders in the sporting and event industry and develop leading sustainable ways to deliver all our events, packages and operations.

We are operating several sustainability projects that support our sustainability strategies. These are set out across 4 areas:

  • Reducing our energy usage

  • Recycling & waste management

  • Reducing our carbon footprint

  • Education, health & wellbeing

Sustainability Around the Ground

Reusable e-cups

  • Spectators will pay a £1 deposit for the cup

  • Either keep the cup as a souvenir and reuse it, or return it in exchange for your deposit

  • 500,000 plastic alternatives are saved each year due to phasing out single-use plastics

Water refill stations are located around the ground for spectators to refill bottles

All non-recyclable waste goes to RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel)

100% of electricity supplied to Edgbaston comes from renewable sources
