The first to play 100 Tests, Colin Cowdrey ended up playing 114 Tests, scoring 7,624 runs and 22 centuries. He was also involved in the inaugural men's ODI, v Australia in Melbourne in 1971.

Player Bio

Born on December 24, 1932 in Bangalore in India, Colin Cowdrey went on to represent England in 114 Test matches. He made his Test debut against Australia at Brisbane in 1954 and played his last Test match 21 years later against the same opponents at Melbourne in 1975. During that period, he scored 7,624 runs at an average of 44.06. He scored 22 centuries including a career-best 182 against Pakistan at The Oval in 1962. He also had 120 catches against his name in his illustrious Test career. In the only ODI he played against Australia at Melbourne in 1971, he scored one run.
