Results from the fourth day of matches in the Europe qualifier
Scotland came back strong on day four to defeat Denmark by six wickets before lunch. Ireland dominated against Jersey in a one-sided win at FB field
Denmark vs Scotland
The Scottish bowlers were looking to come back strong after losing their grip on the match against Ireland the day before. They showed a convincing display, bowling out Denmark for 107 runs in the 31st over. Most Danish batters got starts, with five reaching double figures. They were stopped in their tracks by Scottish bowlers Alyan Qureshi (3/25), James Dickinson (3/9) and Haroon Tahir (3/10).
The Scottish got off to a shaky start with the bat, losing the first two wickets for just six runs. A few nerves looked to develop as the third wicket fell with the score on 22. Player of the match Finlay McCreath (48*) settled the nerves with a chanceless innings to secure the win in the 21st over.
Ireland vs Jersey
Jamie Grassi (66) top scored for the Irish in an innings that ebbed and flowed. The Irish middle and lower order was needed once again to get the score over 200, ending the innings on 227 all out. Jersey bowler David Bourne (4/53) struck four times and Julius Sumerauer (3/53) took three wickets in an effort to stifle the Irish innings.
Jersey never looked like chasing the total, losing crucial early wickets in the chase. Player of the match Josh Little (4/28) was the most successful of the Irish bowlers, supported by the fielders as eight catches and a run out were taken. Only one batter reached double figures as Jersey were bowled out for 52 runs.
